It's everywhere!

Click to enlarge the cartoon. I recently watched Sicko by Michael Moore and was very impressed. I think it's time for this country to allow it's citizens to enjoy the kind of living standards that are enjoyed by most of Western Europe. Health care and quality public education should be considered a basic human right in the wealthiest nation in the world.

A very relevant cartoon. I was reading a few days ago about how Europeans enjoy much better rates on phone and internet due to competition between the carriers encouraged by the government. Contrast that to the monopolies here and what they charge.

When it comes to things like health care, I just don't get how people in this country can sleep at night knowing children need health care, and so many people are being denied any coverage. It's just not right. But hey, fixing it could be "socialized medicine." Ooh, scary.

*Sighs*

Best, and keep on blogging.

About European internet - I also understand that their DSL speeds are significantly faster than ours are.
